Introduction to virtual reality

Virtual Reality (VR) plays a major role in today’s scenario. It refers to a computer-generated simulation in which a person can interact within an artificial three- dimensional environment using electronic devices. The use of the VR environment is increasing rapidly in the area of Medical Fields, Gaming, Sports Training etc. VR most immediately-recognizable component is the head-mounted display (HMD). Human beings are visual creatures and display technology is often the single biggest difference between immersive virtual reality systems and traditional user interfaces. Convincing virtual reality applications require more than just graphics. Both hearing and vision are central to a person’s sense of space.
